Before joining WUSA, she served at NBC Connecticut in West Hartford as a meteorologist. Before that, she worked for WCSC-TV Live 5 News in Charleston, South Carolina as a meteorologist for nearly 2 years. It was there that she started her career. McGrath has worked for WUFT-TV in Gainesville, Florida as a meteorologist for nearly one and a half years, as well as for KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as an intern.
While in Connecticut, McGrath also served at CNBC as a contributing meteorologist. There she forecasted high-impact storms of national significance from the station’s World Headquarters in N.J. She holds the National Weather Association’s (NWA) Seal of Approval. During her leisure, she likes exploring the outdoors, running, hiking, skiing, trying new restaurants and recipes/cuisines, and biking. She is a self-proclaimed foodie!
