Logan is a weekday morning meteorologist for FOX 56 News. He joined the station as a morning meteorologist. Later he was promoted to chief meteorologist in January 2023. Before joining the station he worked at WAVE 3 in Louisville as a morning meteorologist for three years.
Justin’s lifelong passion for weather was sparked by a tornado outbreak when he was in elementary school. Ever since he knew he wanted to be a broadcast meteorologist to keep people safe during severe weather. While at Western Kentucky University, he was part of the storm team and the award-winning student newscast, NewsChannel 12.
After graduating from college, Logan joined KAIT-TV (the first time around) in November 2008 as a weekend meteorologist. Afterward, he went on to work at WTVM-TV followed by a second stint at KAIT-TV. Later in October 2018, he went back to Kentucky when he joined the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking Team.
Justin has experience covering and forecasting winter storms, tornadoes, and even a few tropical storms. He brings valuable experience covering severe weather to the FOX 56 Weather Team. His favorite type of weather is snow. He is certified by the National Weather Association and holds their Broadcast Seal of Approval.
During his free time, he is either watching his beloved Kentucky Wildcats, catching his favorite TV shows, spending time with friends and family, or being involved with his church.
