Finney is a reporter and producer for FOX 56. She joined the station as the 7 to 9 a.m. morning producer. Colleen is excited to delete her 3 a.m. alarm as of June 2022 to produce and report for the station’s newly added 7 p.m. show.
Prior to joining the station, Colleen was proud to be a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky. While attending college she interned with Lexington Emergency Management and reported and anchored for the University of Kentucky Student News Network. She also ran replay at sporting events with the SEC Network.
After graduating during the middle of a pandemic, Finney knew she wasn’t ready to leave the Bluegrass State just yet and was excited to start her first “big girl” job in the city she fell in love with. During her free time, she loves advocating for mental health, writing, and enjoying mint chocolate chip ice cream.
During Colleen’s time in the UK, she wrote almost 100 blog posts for ‘The Odyssey Online’ and recently became a published author in the Spring of 2022 with her mental health book called, “All It Takes Is One: the friend you never knew you needed.” She is proud to call Lexington her second home (behind the Buckeye state).
