Before moving to Orlando, Julie worked as a reporter and anchor for WFTX in Fort Myers. While there she investigated the county’s EMS system and discovered ambulance delays and failures with the communication devices. Her stories prompted a state investigation by the Florida Department of Health. She began her career at WXOW in La Crosse, WI, as a reporter and anchor. Salomone’s father was the one who encouraged her to pursue a career in journalism.
