Over the years with WABC, he has covered a variety of the world’s biggest news events, live from the scene, such as hurricanes in Puerto Rico, Texas, and Florida, as well as the mass shootings in Orlando and Parkland, Florida.
Einiger has also reported on the inferno at Notre Dame in Paris and the concert bombing in Manchester, England. He holds an Emmy for his report on the Donald Trump Administration’s “family separation” policy at the border of Mexico. Einiger has also provided extensive coverage of the Trump presidency from Washington. He was on the ground covering the capture of the Boston Marathon bomber.
For reporting on the fatal crash of a helicopter in the East River and a terror attack on a Manhattan bike path, he has earned several Emmys. Einiger has reported on many severe weather events in the New York area and beyond, as well as the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. He was the leading reporter of ABC7NY’s report on the search for a serial killer near Gilgo Beach, as the station’s Long Island Reporter.

Before Einiger joined WABC – ABC7NY, he worked for stations in Albany, Orlando, and Philadelphia as a news reporter. He also served as a freelance correspondent on Fox News affiliates. Einiger began his career in Philadelphia and New York, where he worked as an assignment editor, photographer, and field producer. During his leisure, he likes exploring the globe and cycling across Central Park.
