Also, at the same time, she served at KYW-TV CBS Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a general assignment reporter. Lans has also worked as a general assignment reporter at WBZ-TV (CBS) in Boston, Massachusetts.

Lans has reported on various news stories such as Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial, Aaron Hernandez’s (New England Patriot) murder trial and arrest, and the Boston Marathon bombings. Other stories include Philadelphia Eagles’ first super bowl win and Meek Mill’s (Rapper) imprisonment and release. The story of Meek Mill prompted criminal justice reform across the U.S. and in Pennsylvania.

RTDNA – the Radio Television Digital News Association selected Lans to travel to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium, and to the NATO headquarters. She traveled as a fellow of the RIAS German/American Exchange Program. She holds the Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Rising Star award from Temple University. Lans also holds an Edward R. Murrow award for her reporting work.
