Elias works for WJLA as a reporter/anchor. He anchors the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. on ABC7 News. He worked as a primary anchor and a lead reporter for WBZ in Boston before joining ABC7/WJLA-TV. Elias’s coverage earned him the highest journalism awards in a Peabody, a National Emmy Award a DuPont, and the business. He obtained Emmy Awards in Boston for being the best writer, and anchor, and for four years in a row the best general assignment reporter.

He was the main anchor at KNXV in Phoenix before Boston. Elias traveled the country covering big stories including the Washington D.C. sniper case, Hurricane Rita, and Hurricane Katrina. His investigative work revealed a gaping hole in the T.S.A. Elias worked at KCBS in Los Angeles as a primary anchor, WCCO in Minneapolis and in Birmingham, and at Joplin as a reporter.
