Shrable is a weekday morning meteorologist for KRON4 Morning News from 4 to 10 AM. While growing up, he was fascinated by the weather at a young age which led him to enroll at Harding University to pursue a degree in communications. Afterward, in May of 2018, he further achieved his Certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Penn State University.
Before joining KRON4, Shrable worked at Casper Wyoming’s KTWO-TV serving as the morning meteorologist. While there John was awarded by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters as the Best Weathercaster. Prior to that, he worked at Nexstar affiliate KSEE-24 in Fresno for three years as a weekend meteorologist and environmental reporter.
While working at Nexstar affiliate KSEE-24, John was awarded for his coverage of the toll the state’s drought took on Central Valley agriculture, familiarizing himself with the changing climate of the state. He enjoys exploring everything from the coast up and down Hwy 1 to summer and winter days on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
