Raineri is a meteorologist and reporter for KGW News in Portland, Oregon. After working at KIRO-TV in Seattle, where he forecasted convergence zone weather anomalies and an onslaught of rain he returned to Rose City. He began broadcasting while working at KBVR-TV, the campus station at Oregon State University, where he did everything from the report. anchor, and produce nightly newscasts.
He graduated from OSU and received his Meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University. Before Seattle, he spent almost 10 years in Portland working as a meteorologist and reporter, where he reported everything from flooding to snow storms, and tornadoes.
Raineri is a big sports fan and during his career, he also worked as a sports anchor. He had the opportunity to report Timbers matches and countless Civil War games between his Beavers and the Ducks and the Portland Trail Blazers (who he has been rooting for since he was a little kid).
The 2008 USA Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene is the most unforgettable sporting event he’s covered. Also, he worked in Central Oregon at KFXO and in Eugene at KVAL. When he is not working, he’s either skiing down the mountain, spending time with his family, or working on his golf game.
