Stratman is a Morning Reporter and Anchor for WHAS-TV. He has worked on morning shows since 2018 and is excited to join the Good Morning Kentuckiana family. His passion for broadcasting developed while growing up in Northern Kentucky just across the river from Cincinnati.
Before joining the station Jim worked at WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky, United States as a Morning Reporter and Fill-in Anchor. Prior to that, he worked at 14 WFIE in Evansville, Indiana Area for two years as a multimedia journalist and reporter. While there he covered southwestern Indiana and western Kentucky from January 2018 to 2020. He joined the WFIE morning crew about six months into his stay and never looked back.
Stratman began his career as a sports reporter at WYMT in Hazard, eastern Kentucky. Before stepping in front of the camera he majored in radio and television operations at Western Kentucky University. During his free time, he loves playing golf, watching his Cincinnati sports teams, and spending time with his family.
