Meckles works for 9News in Denver, Colorado where she serves the station as a News Anchor and Reporter. Prior to this, she was working for KSDK-TV NewsChannel 5 in St. Louis, Missouri where she served as a News Anchor and reporter between August 2014 and February 2018.
During her time at the station, she covered protests and the unrest in Ferguson, major floods that left interstates and entire communities underwater. This is in addition to covering the impact of the deadly heroin epidemic. There, she anchored the weekend broadcasts and helped build the Storytellers team that celebrated the positive stories and heritage of St. Louis.
Jennifer did about every job in the newsroom from answering phones, learning how to run a live truck, and editing videos. When she started reporting and anchoring, Jennifer’s work in Missouri earned her several awards. Among them include an Edward R. Murrow scholarship from the Society of Professional Journalists.
She has also previously worked for WBIR-TV 10News serving the station as a Weekend News Anchor & Weekdays Reporter. There, she worked between July 2011 and August 2014. In addition to this, she worked for Newsy in the Columbia, Missouri Area serving the station as an Anchor and writer. She worked for the station between February 2010 and July 2011.
