Jordan is a noon Anchor and evening Reporter for Fox 8 News. She is a two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist. Previously before joining Fox 8 News she worked as a freelance general assignment reporter at WPIX-TV/CW11. While in the station she was also the fill-in anchor. While there she reported on some of the biggest stories in the New York metropolitan area. Jennifer covered the breaking news coverage of the mid-air plane/tourist chopper collision over the Hudson River that made national headlines.
She was also the lead reporter on the deadly shooting of a Jersey City police officer and the attempted car bombing in Times Square. Jennifer joined PIX News after serving at WNYW/Fox 5 and WWOR-TV/My 9. While serving New York city’s only duopoly, she served as the general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor.
At some of New York City’s most prominent tourist attractions, Jordan exposed security flaws including the Empire State building. She also served as lead reporter on the NYPD police shooting of an unarmed man killed by cops on what would have been his wedding day. Prior to Fox and My 9, Jennifer worked at WCBS-TV also in New York as the Westchester correspondent and general assignment reporter.
Being part of the award-winning team, Jordan was nominated for two Emmy awards for the mass transit strike. Previously, she anchored the 10 pm newscasts at News 12 Westchester. While there Jennifer won two Emmy Awards, one for On-Camera achievement, the second for a multi-part, hard-hitting investigation titled, “Predator Next Door.” Prior to that, she worked at WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana where she anchored the weekend newscasts.
Before that, she worked at WBKO-TV in Bowling Green, Kentucky as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. Jordan started her career at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina where she served as a field producer. She has also received numerous community awards for her dedication to covering stories in her neighborhood and volunteering for a number of local charities.
