Jones serves KVUE as the sports director and weekday sports anchor. He joined the KVUE Sports team in August 2019. Prior to Austin, he served in Raleigh, North Carolina at CBS-17 as sports director for three years. Upon graduating college, he attained a national talent search that permitted him to travel to the NBA All-Star Game as the league’s “All-Star Reporter.”
During his time there, he managed one-on-one interviews with stars such as James Harden, Tony Parker, Anthony Davis, and others. In 2014, he debuted his career when he served in San Antonio at WOAI as a sports reporter and anchor. Additionally, he learned to balance the responsibilities of broadcasting a professional NBA team, college sports, and various high school teams during his tenure there.
On top of that, he serves as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When he is not broadcasting, he loves working out, watching movies, and cheering for his beloved Auburn Tigers.
