Hunter Williams is an American meteorologist who is working for KVUE as the chief meteorologist since October 2022. Before this, he served the station as a daybreak meteorologist. He joined the KVUE team in January 2020. Upon joining the station, he initially served as a meteorologist.

Williams serves KVUE as the chief meteorologist since October 2022. Before this, he served the station as a daybreak meteorologist. He joined the KVUE team in January 2020. Upon joining the station, he initially served as a meteorologist. On April 27, 2011, was when he came to the realization that he wants to pursue meteorology as a career. This resulted due to a memorable tornado outbreak that took place across his home state of Alabama.
Further, he was sitting on his living room floor viewing a live broadcast of the Tuscaloosa EF-4 tornado as it tore through the city. Thus, his passion for weather was sparked. Prior to Austin, he served in Macon, Georgia at WMAZ. During his stint there, he provided coverage for Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Michael, and many drastic weather outbreaks. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing basketball and can occasionally be found on local trails running and hiking.
