Jason Adams is an American Meteorologist working for WFTS in Tampa, Florida, in the United States as a weekend meteorologist. He joined the station in August 2017. He previously worked as a weekend morning meteorologist for WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Adams is a Weekend Meteorologist for WFTS-TV ABC Action News. He holds the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal which is a top certification in the field of meteorology. After graduating from college, he moved all over the country covering violent tornadoes, major Florida hurricanes, and crippling blizzards and ice storms.
One week after joining WFTS-TV, Hurricane Irma hit their area. Jason played an integral role in their digital and on-air coverage as the storm moved through. While growing up, he recalls being evacuated from Tyndall AFB in Panama City to MacDill AFB when threatened by hurricanes in the Panhandle. That’s how Tampa became a favorite spot of his and was one of the many reasons why he wanted to call Tampa Bay his permanent home.
During his free time, he is most likely to be found on the beach. He is their resident beach bum, an ocean advocate, and has a passion for shark, sea turtle & manatee conservation.
