Scott works for ABC Columbia as the weekend meteorologist. He was born and brought up in Chapel Hill, NC, and graduated from Carrboro High School and graduated in 2014. He found that college basketball wasn’t in the cards for him after playing a year of prep basketball at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA, and decided to concentrate on his true passion: meteorology.

At North Carolina State University he immersed himself in the wide world of weather. Scott, immediately y joined the weather broadcast club but struggled at first and was doubtful if the TV was the right field for him to be in. After his first internship at WECT in Wilmington, NC that all changed.

The weather team taught and inspired him which renewed his passion for broadcast meteorology. He interned at KARE in Minneapolis, MN the next summer which only deepened his love for broadcasting. Scott became the president of the broadcast club at NC State by the time he graduated and was ready to become a brand-new meteorologist.
