Westbrook went to Quinnipiac University where he attained his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in marketing in 2015. He now serves as a news personality at WCBS-TV based in Rochester, New York. He kickstarted his journalism career working at “CBS This Morning” (now “CBS Mornings”) where he served as a news associate.
One year later, he joined WROC News 8 in Rochester, New York where he served as a reporter. During his tenure at WROC-TV, he enclosed high-profile court cases, major weather events like flooding and blizzards, as well as politics. Later in 2019, he joined WBFF Fox45 in Baltimore, Maryland where he started off as a morning news reporter and later as a fill-in anchor.
During his tenure at WBFF-TV, he unmasked political corruption inside city hall and a lot of other shady businesses all across Baltimore, Maryland. He also covered former Mayor Catherine Pugh’s scandal which led to her facing criminal charges. Since starting his journalism career, he has won several awards and honors including 3 Emmy Awards one of which was for his coverage of a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020.
