Broom was born and raised in Seminole County, Florida United States to her loving and caring parents. Her father is a former Navy sailor and installed her the desire to see how big and beautiful the world is. She has frequently posted photos of her parents on her Instagram Account. Broom unfortunately lost her mother and then lost her father on the 15th of June 2022 just a day before Father’s Day. She posted a photo of her parents on the 28th of Septmber 2017 wishing them a happy 32nd anniversary stating that they tied knots on the 28th of September 1985.
Broom was raised alongside her three brothers who she refers to her body guards. Broom wished her last born brother a Happy 18th birthday on the 24th of November 2017. Broom is a proud graduate of Florida State University (Seminole). There, she studied between 2004 and 2008 before she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Media Communication and Spanish.

Broom works for WSOC-TV Channel 9 News where she serves the station as a Morning News Anchor. There, she Anchors the Eyewitness News This Morning. Prior to joining theWSOC News team, she was working with WFTV inOrlando where she was serving the station as a News/Traffic Anchor. There, she worked between July 2020 and January 2022. While there, she was covering stories that shaped the community. These include the trial of George Zimmerman and the aftermath of the Pulse nightclub shooting.
Asides from this, she has worked for KRIV FOX 26 News in Houston, Texas where she was serving the station as an anchor and reporter. While there, she was helping people navigate major events such as the deaths of George H.W. Bush and her wife Barbara, the Santa Fe High School shooting, and Harvey’s historic flooding.
Previously, she had also spent about four years working with WCTV News in Tallahassee where she joined the station working as a Valdosta Bureau Reporter in November 2009. She then moved to anchor and report for the station in July 2010 before leaving the station in January 2013.
Broom has previously lived in Madrid, Spain for about a year where she was taught English and learned how to speak Spanish fluently. Away from work, she enjoys exploring cities, big and small and finding great places to eat. Asides from this, she enjoys Latin dancing.
