In her quarter century at the station, she secured many Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards, RTDNAC Awards, and NABJ Awards. Also, she anchored broadcasts of numerous breaking news happenings. For example, the Charleston church shooting, and the city’s sendoff when the Carolina Panthers went to Super Bowl 50.
In addition, destructive hurricanes and winter storms, and the funeral of Reverend Billy Graham made state headlines. To boot, she has interviewed former First Lady Laura Bush, President Donald Trump, and then-Senator Barack Obama during his first presidential crusade.
Further, she head WBTV’s crusade for seven years and raised millions of dollars for children fighting pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Prior to WBTV, she served in Texas at
In addition, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the National Association of Black Journalists.
She was also a student-athlete playing on UGA’s women’s volleyball team. After graduation, Christine lived in Atlanta for a few years before hopping around the country to start her journalism career. She’s excited to be back in Atlanta where her parents and siblings now also reside.
