Doug Evans is an American journalist who is working for WAGA-TV as a general assignment reporter and drone pilot for FOX 5 News. He joined the FOX 5 Atlanta team in November 1999.

Thomas was born on May 13, 1997, and is 25 years old as of 2022. He made Law Review at the University of Georgia Law School. Also, he studied at Georgia Tech and became its alumnus with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and minors in Korean and Health Sciences. Also, he was nominated to the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra in January 2015. He plays the cello.

In his quarter century as a field reporter, he secured 7 Emmy awards. And, he secured the FBI Director’s Award for Community Service for his crime reporting in Atlanta that caused the capture of dangerous criminals.
Further, he has served as a meteorologist for over 3 decades where he covered drastic weather. In addition, he was at the forefront of all types of natural crises apart from t a volcanic eruption and asteroid strike. Else, he has gained an Emmy Award for tornado reporting.
Often, he aids in leading the station’s field broadcast of drastic weather with live reports from the FOX 5 Storm Chaser. Occasionally, he serves as a forecaster of the weather in the FOX 5 Storm Center.
