Chris Wragge is an American Anchor/Reporter working for WCBS-TV in New York City as the co-anchor of CBS 2 News This Morning and CBS 2 News at Noon alongside Mary Calvi. He joined the station in 2004.

He went to The University of New Hampshire where he attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts. Wragge serves as the co-anchor of CBS 2 News This Morning and CBS 2 News at Noon alongside Mary Calvi. On joining WCBS News New York, he started off by serving as the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. sports anchor. Since joining CBS New York he has covered several stories including the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing of U.S. Airways Flight 1549.

Chris covered the 2008 presidential election, the Brooklyn tornado, and Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to New York. He also enclosed the East Side crane collapse, the scandal that led to the resignation of Governor Eliot Spitzer, and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center. Chris has won 21 Emmy Awards three of them being for Best News Anchor category.

Prior to working at WCBS-TV, he worked at NBC Sports where he served as a sports anchor and reporter. While working at NBC Sports, he attended the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.He also covered two years covering the WNBA as well as four years as a sideline reporter for NBA game broadcasts. He enclosed the Notre Dame Football, the PGA Tour for five years, and the PBR. He also served the station as the anchor of NBC’s Sportsdesk reports from 2002 to 2004. Chris worked for Entertainment Tonight as a correspondent for about four years.

Prior to working at NBC Sports, he worked at DIY, HGTV, and Travel Channel where he served as a host. He previously worked at KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Houston, Texas, WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, and WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut. Chris is an active volunteer at the Diabetes Research Institute, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Mahwah High School athletics, and the National Down Syndrome Society. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the new Valley Hospital.
