Ramirez serves as a meteorologist for KHOU 11 News in Houston. He joined the KHOU 11 Weather team in October of 2023, and he mainly focuses on severe weather coverage and public safety communication. Prior to joining KHOU 11, Ramirez served as a morning, midday, and weekend meteorologist at NBC 23 (KVEO-TV, Harlingen, TX). Here, he reported live from the eye of Hurricane Hanna (2020) and also assisted CW39 Houston with live coverage of Hurricane Laura.
Before that, he had worked as a weekend meteorologist & Digital Content Producer, and Chief Meteorologist at KSAN News (San Angelo, TX), covering extreme drought, flooding, and the 2019 May tornado outbreak (EF-2 tornado in San Angelo). Beyond the newsroom, Ramirez was the judge for the 2023 Alliant Group SPARK Award, a member of the 2019 Texas Environmental Excellence Awards Blue Ribbon Committee, invited by Governor Greg Abbott, and a Keynote Speaker for the TCEQ Mickey Leland Internship Program (2018).
