Chris Johnson is an American Meteorologist working for FOX 56 in Lexington, Kentucky, United States as a Digital Meteorologist. He joined the station in December 2021. Before joining the station he worked at the CBS affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky.

His experience as a broadcast meteorologist stems from all over the Commonwealth. Chris has also forecasted in Bowling Green, Hazard, and Lexington.
While attending Western Kentucky University, Chris worked for the Kentucky Mesonet and State Climate Center, participated in many research-related activities, and also published his scientific work, “Evaluating Weather Research and Forecasting Model Sensitivity to Land and Soil Conditions Representative of Karst Landscapes” in Boundary-Layer Meteorology.
Johnson has won several awards and honors including AP Best Weathercast 2017, AP Best Social Media 2017, and AP Best Weathercast 2019. During his free time, he spends time in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also loves visiting various attractions across the state.
