While in Luther High School South he played football, and basketball, and ran cross-country and track. Chris was also elected into the Luther South High School Hall of Fame in 2000 and received the school’s Lifetime Achievement award.

Boden is a sports anchor and reporter for WGN-TV. Before joining WGN-TV he worked for four years as the Radio Studio Host for the Chicago Blackhawks. Chris worked anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet from 2007 to August 2017. While there he served to report duties on SportsNet Central along with hosting the network’s Chicago Bears coverage. During the 2013 football season, Boden hosted Bears Postgame Live, Bears Pregame Live, Bears Huddle, Bears Blitz, and Bears Recap.
Before hosting the Bears, Chris was responsible for the CSN pre-and post-game coverage, as well as on-ice reporting duties for the Chicago Blackhawks. In his early career, he worked for the telephone sports reporting service SportsPhone Chicago. Boden worked for more than 30 years covering local and national sports on both radio and television. While working in television he has worked for CLTV (Chicago), WBBM-TV (CBS Chicago), WFLD-TV (Fox Chicago), and the NFL Network, and radio credits include WBBM-AM (CBS Chicago), WMVP-AM 1000 (ESPN Radio Chicago), WGN-AM (Chicago), WCRX-FM (Chicago), and Tribune Radio Networks (now Illinois News Networks, Chicago).
In August 2017 Boden left CSN Chicago and changed his Twitter account from @CSNBoden to @BodenTweets. Afterward in October 2017, Chris joined the Chicago Blackhawks as their Radio Studio Host, and later in January 2018, he joined WGN Radio for their “Blackhawks Crazy” podcast as a co-host.
