Also, she served in Cincinnati at WKRC-TV, in Macon, Georgia at WMAZ -TV and in Albany, Georgia at WALB-TV as an anchor and a reporter. Her, broadcasting career debuted when she served Georgia Public Television on a program dubbed“The Lawmakers.”
Prior to serving on-screen, she served off-screen at various radio stations in Cincinnati. Also, she served WCIN-TV as News Director. In her career, she has broadcasted numerous stories such as the Million Man March, the heartfelt stories of Hurricane Katrina survivors, and destructive earthquakes outside Istanbul, Turkey.
Throughout her career, she has garnered multiple awards counting three Emmys, and the Associated Press Best Newscast. And, a National Association of Black Journalists award for her report “The Rosewood Massacre.” To boot, she served the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists as an officer.
Moreover, she served the Chums, The Links, and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority as a member. When she is not working, she enjoys volunteering with The Children’s Restoration Network and the Sadie G. Mays Nursing Home.
To boot, she is a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church. Else, she enjoys traveling and speaking to children at schools all over the community.\

For her treatment she takes a daily pill, Gleevec which is a targeted therapy made to shrink the tumor before surgery.
