She previously worked at Residence Life at WSU where she served as a resident advisor from July 2012 to May 2013. She interned at Northwest Public Television from 2011 to 2012.

Roley serves as the Chief Journalist at KREM-TV based in Spokane, Washington. On joining KREM-TV in March 2017, she started off by serving as a senior multiskilled Journalist till June 2023. Prior to working at KREM-TV, she worked at KFBB in Montana where she served as a weekend anchor and political reporter from May 2014 to March 2017. Previously, from August 2013 to May 2014, she worked at Pullman RadioKQQQ where she served as a news reporter.
Since she started her journalism career, she has won several awards and honors including the 2023 NATAS NW Emmy. In 2022, she was nominated for an Emmy for enclosing the Malden/Pine City wildfire. She also received a 2022 RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Regional Award for enclosing the Malden/Pine City wildfire. Amanda also won the 2016 E.B. Craney Award for covering the overcrowded Lewis & Clark County jail.
