O’Brien serves KOAA as a meteorologist. She joined the station in June 2019. Further, he has the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation. Upon her graduation, she served in Denver at WeatherNation TV as a producer. Later, she went on to serve in Lubbock, Texas at KAMC News as a weekday morning meteorologist. While there, she attained ample experience in broadcasting drastic drought conditions, and drastic weather, counting broadcasts of tornadoes and baseball-sized hail.
While in Colorado, she provides coverage for the multiple micro-climates of the Colorado Springs and Pueblo markets. Else, she said that meteorology is fun when the weather is kind and works to be an expert in all scenarios. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, sampling new foods, and trying all of Colorado’s local craft breweries. On weekends, she’s at the farmer’s market and loves the endless scenery.
