Since 1989, he’s been involved with the production and reporting of numerous important and memorable events and stories across Southern Colorado. Through his reporting, anchoring, and producing, he has attained many awards with the Colorado Broadcasters Association and the Associated Press. Moreover, he interviewed President Obama at the White House one-on-one.
Moreover, he chronicled the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest wildfires, the summer of 2013 flash flooding, the Aurora theater massacre, Columbine, and the federal suit of Oklahoma City bombing suspect, Timothy McVeigh. Across Southern Colorado, he is involved with many causes. For instance, the Multiple Sclerosis Society Walks in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, have garnered hundreds of thousands of dollars for those families struggling with M-S. The Colorado Broadcasters Association awarded him Broadcast Citizen of the Year in 2000.
On a side note, he attained the award due to his volunteer and community service work. When he is outside the newsroom, he loves enjoying the beautiful trails and mountain vistas of Colorado. Also, hiking, skiing, and golfing serve as some of his recreational passions. As a huge sports fan, he shadows the Colorado College Tiger hockey and all Air Force Falcon sports.
