Brophy serves ABC 4 as the chief meteorologist. She joined the ABC4 Utah team in December 2004. Upon joining the station in 2004, she initially served as a reporter and a weekend forecaster on the ABC4 Utah Pinpoint Weather team. During her college years, she reported on Utah’s most significant weather stories. For instance, Utah’s fatal flooding crisis in Hildale, flash flooding at Zion National Park, and low water levels at Lake Powell.
And, the Great Salt Lake, the Brianhead wildfire, ample winter storms, and snow in St. George. Also, she has traveled broadly across the state on the road tour series, Utah’s outdoors. Via the BC4 Road Tour, she has gone skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and biking. Further, it has permitted her to get a rigorous understanding of Utah’s geography and a special understanding of how storms link to several mountain valleys and ranges.
Prior to ABC 4, she served in Boise, Idaho at KBOI-TV for 2 years and a month. While there, she forecasted, reported, and anchored for the station. Additionally, she secured a regional Emmy for field anchoring a morning newscast. Nonetheless, he TV career began when she served in St. George, Utah as a weekend forecaster.
While there, she broadcasted Washington County’s extreme heat. In addition, she headed up a crime series program dubbed “The Tri-State Crime Stoppers.” The program assisted in the apprehension of many fugitives within the community. Else, it earned her a Community Partnership Award from the Washington City Police.
When she is not working, she and her husband ski, and fly fishes. Also, they spend time with family, support the Special Olympics, and cheer on Gonzaga basketball and Chicago Blackhawks hockey. Plus, they walk their two dogs.
