His love for weather developed when he encountered the harsh cold and snowy winters during his early years of life when he resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Following the move to Montgomery, Alabama, his fascination grew and progressed to heighten with acute storms and tropical weather becoming more of the norm.
Nonetheless, his TV career debuted when he served in Alpena, Michigan at WBKB-TV as the chief meteorologist. While there, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters awarded him Best Weathercast. Also, he forecasted numerous winter weather. For instance, he provided coverage for the harsh winter of 2013 to 2014 and its attempt to completely freeze Lake Huron.
Additionally, he covered February 2015 which was the coldest month ever in Alpena’s history. Moreover, he served in Champaign, Illinois at WCIA-TV. During his quarter-century there he got valuable experience by broadcasting acute weather. For instance, he telecasted the biggest December tornado outbreak in Illinois history on December 1, 2018, with 29 confirmed tornadoes.
Luckily, there were no deaths associated with any of the tornadoes. Further, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors such as hiking, a great trail, or of anything else nature-related, and playing sports or anything competitive. Moreover, he loves eating and assisting his church with volunteer work.
