Gaskin is a Meteorologist for WIS-TV. She has worked from the Lowcountry of SC to the Outer banks of North Carolina as a meteorologist. She is an avid Hurricane and severe weather forecaster. After Hurricane Hugo slammed into the state of South Carolina in 1989, Von knew she had to be a part of the forecasting process.
During the record breaking 2005 hurricane season, Von is proud to say she was a meteorologist. During her free time, she enjoys the great outdoors, mainly along the Carolina beaches with her husband Anthony and their kids. She takes pride in working in her community and volunteering for local organizations. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
