He grew up living the small-town lifestyle in Elysburg enjoying the four seasons that rural NE Pennsylvania has to offer. Tony biggest weather passion from an early age was anything related to snow and how it formed. This led him towards his path of learning more about the atmosphere and formulating the goal of becoming a meteorologist.
While serving the Twin Tiers and Finger Lakes regions, Tony received multiple awards from the Associated Press and the New York State Broadcasters Association. During his free time, he enjoys the great outdoors shopping, exploring the beach, traveling, storm chasing, and volunteering with shelter animals.
Chiavaroli is also a huge fan of Penn State and Philadelphia sports and tries to attend games when given the opportunity. He was also a part of the 2016-2017 WxChallenge National Championship Team for Penn State. The competition focuses on forecasting skills, pitting dozens of universities against one another.
