Tom Tasselmyer is an American Meteorologist /Reporter working for WBAL-TV, Baltimore, MD as a weeknight reporter at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. and at 10 p.m. on MeTV Baltimore. He joined the station in 1989. He previously worked as a meteorologist at WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, and at WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia.

He is also heard during the evening on WBAL NewsRadio 1090AM and 101.5FM. Before coming to the station in 1989 he worked on WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio and on WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia as a meteorologist.
Tom owns a Seal of Approval for broadcast meteorology from the American Meteorological Society. Apart from being a meteorologist, he has an interest in theology, and has received a Master of Arts degree in theology from the Ecumenical Institute at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore.
In 2018, Tasselmyer co-authored the book, “Understanding the Divide: A Presbyterian Elder, a Roman Catholic Theologian, and Basic Questions of the Christian Faith.” He has completed 12 marathons, including five Baltimore Marathons, and now she enjoys running shorter distances. He also enjoys reading, golf, and fly-fishing.
