Faulkner is an anchor working for WPSD in Paducah, Kentucky. Prior to that, he spent five years as WPSD Local 6’s weekend anchor. In 2008 and again in 2014, the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences nominated Faulkner for an Emmy. The nomination honors the television journalism accomplishments of the area. Since he began working as a television journalist in 2003, Faulkner has won multiple Associated Press honors. Faulkner transferred from WBOY-TV, the NBC station in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to WPSD Local 6. He held jobs there as a morning host, reporter, and producer.
He was also the main stand-in anchor for all of the evening newscasts. President Bush’s numerous trips to the Mountain State and the Sago Mine explosion were just a few of the breaking news stories Faulkner reported. Faulkner worked as an intern at WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio, before starting his job in West Virginia. He also resided in New York City and supported numerous initiatives at ABC’s Good Morning America as an assistant. Faulkner assisted in running WHEI-TV, a student-run television station, while he was a college student. He worked as a reporter, anchor, executive producer, producer, and station manager there. Todd enjoys visiting foreign and domestic destinations whenever the opportunity arises.
Faulkner has traveled to France, the Czech Republic, and England. Faulkner is committed to volunteering his time and efforts to deserving local charities. He has held various positions on the board of directors of the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club of Paducah, including board member, board president, and currently emeritus-president/advisor. He has also served as a member of the Mid-America Chapter’s Board of Governors of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, which is situated in St. Louis, Missouri.
