In 2018 when she made her on-air debut, she not only fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a TV news reporter, but also broke a historic barrier, becoming the first full-time TV reporter to wear a hijab, or headscarf, on American news.
Tahera’s began her job as producer and a host at the daily Radio Islam show at WCEV 1450 AM in Chicago which was produced by Sound Vision Foundation from 1999 to 2019. She loves consuming as much coffee as her body can handle, scoping out great restaurants, and then burning all that energy on a great hike.
