Poole is a reporter for WLOX. Before joining the station she worked at WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS as an Anchor and Reporter for four years. While in the Golden Triangle, she reported on everything from breaking news to local feature stories in the community.
In the year 2019, Stephanie met with families affected by a devastating EF-3 tornado that ripped through the southside of Columbus. The storm’s aftermath left citizens without a place to home for several months. Poole rolled up her sleeves to follow community clean-up and recovery efforts led by area organizations in the Friendly City.
Poole traveled to Macon, MS in 2022 for a rescue mission after a severe storm left two women trapped under a collapsed building. She also kept an eye on what was happening in MS classrooms. Stephanie visited several school districts in the Golden Triangle regarding teacher shortages, technology, and COVID-19 restrictions.
Stephanie received the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Third Place Reporter for Small Market TV. She started her broadcast career at MSU, Take30 as a reporter on the student television show. Afterward, from 2018-2019 she worked for Cumulus Broadcasting Media as a radio talent and remote assistant. She joined the WLOX News Now team with a humble heart.
During her free time, she’s dining on the Gulf Coast catch of the day seafood. Whether it’s char-grilled oysters, shrimp, or crabs you can find her placing an order at her favorite restaurants. Poole enjoys painting, playing a round of Uno with friends, and working out.
