She received an Emmy nomination for her reporting on the equality riot in Downtown Nashville in which protesters set fire to the courthouse. She also won Emmy acknowledgment for the series of deadly tornadoes that hit Middle Tennessee on March 3rd, 2020, the same week she was one of the first reporters to cover the state’s first COVID-19 case.
Before moving to Nashville, Olmos worked as a bureau multimedia reporter in Beaufort, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia. While there she won an Associated Press award and also anchored weekend mornings. While in school, she interned for the investigative unit at KCBS in Los Angeles and ABC’s 20/20 in New York City. She loves to cook, spend time with friends and family, travel, and do anything outdoors on the water, during her free time.
