While there, she was covering some major events which made national and international headlines. These include Super Bowl XLV and Texas’ record-breaking winter ice storms. Previously, she has also worked in Miami where she spent about three years covering a wide range of stories. These include traveling to Haiti during the wake of four hurricanes in the year 2008 and later covering an earthquake and sharing the story of legal trials of the rich and famous.
She also counts herself lucky to have been in front of the camera when all eyes were on the Miami Heat where he was covering Shaquille O’Neal’s departure in the year 2008 and covering LeBron James’ much-anticipated decision to join the team in the year 2010. She was selected for the “Top 40 Under 40,” by the Success South Florida Magazine which is in addition to being featured on the publication’s cover. Having a passion for information and knowledge, she has a gift for getting the people she interviews to open up and tell their stories.
Her work has also taken her all the way to Birmingham, Alabama where she was sent to work as an anchor/reporter for the WVTM-TV in both news and sports. Previously, she was also working as a news anchor for the WBBJ-TV. She is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee where she earned an undergraduate degree in broadcast communications. Later on, she kick-started her journalism career while still in college. There, she was producing feature stories on Tennessee Volunteer Athletes for the FOX Sports Net South. The month of September 2017 saw him presenting the University of Tennessee Alumni Promise Award.
Away from work, she enjoys traveling and states that she can’t wait to travel to Africa. In addition, she loves live music(Blake Shelton, Maxwell, and Eryka Badu) are among her favorites. Last but not least, she enjoys attending major sporting events. Additionally, during her free time, she is an active member and volunteer in the community for many community groups and charities. She is also passionate about mentoring young girls.
