Shannon Kook is a South African Actor who is making an appearance in the movie A Big Fat Family Christmas which premiered on the 2nd of December 2022 on the Hallmark Channel. He is known for appearing in the television series Shadowhunters in 2017 as Duncan, and in Degrassi: The Next Generation between 2010 and 2011 as Zane Park.

Kook is among the cast members in the series, A Big Fat Christmas where he holds the role of Henry. He moved to Montreal, Canada to attend the National Theatre School of Canada. His first on-screen role was when he was featured in the Canadian television series, Being Erica in the year 2009.

He is known for taking up roles in The 100 between 2018 and 2020, Carmilla between 2015 and 2016, and taking up the role of Drew Thomas in the film franchise The Conjuring between 2013 and 2021. He also played the role of Karl Johnson in the film, Holidaze in 2013.

The year 2014 saw him, Sophie Desmarais, Julia Sarah Stone, and Alexandre Landry being chosen for the Toronto International Film Festival’s Rising Stars Initiative. This is an annual distinction that spotlights four up-and-coming Canadian actors to talent developers and filmmakers at the festival.
