After completing her studies there, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and Communication. During her time in college, she was active in fitness field where she had not one role at the campus fitness center but multiple roles. Brito started as a Desk Attendant following Building Manager. Furthermore, while there, she led a fitness course.

After graduating from college in December 2019, she started her first post-college job in Rockford, Illinois in the news industry. She began as a Producer and Multimedia Journalist at WIFR in January 2020.
During her tenure at WTWO, she covered major stories. She covered two 8” snowstorms. During the December 10-11 2021 outbreak, she tracked an EF2 tornado live on the air. Brito also visits schools to share her passion for weather with Wabash Valley students. While studying at Valpo, she interned with WHBF in the Quad Cities along with Andy McCray, Chief Meteorologist.
Brito developed her love and passion for journalism at a young age, six years old. WHile growing up, she saw her first funnel cloud and had a dream of her as a meteorologist. She enjoys forecasting and living her dream. In addition, she is continuing her knowledge in weather hoping to earn meteorology seals in the near future.
She is very passionate about sharing her love for weather. During her senior year of high school, she was a Teachers Assistant and assisted in a classroom. While in High School as a TA, she taught the 5th-grade students about weather and that is one of the aspects she highlighted. She also did science experiments with the students.
During her leisure time, she likes spending time with her friends and family, traveling, as well as going to the gym. In addition to that, she is a sports fan where she cheers Bears and Chicago Bulls.
