Field serves at WABC as a sports anchor. He anchors the sportscasts on Eyewitness News at 6 PM and 11 PM from Monday to Friday, and on Saturday mornings. Before joining the station, he served at Fox Sports 1 in Los Angeles, California as an Anchor/Host for 3 years. There he served as a host of “MLB WhipAround,” “MLB on FOX,” and “FOX Sports Live.”

Field worked for FOX Sports Detroit in Michigan as a correspondent, before going to Fox Sports 1. There he hosted Red Wings, Tigers, and Pistons coverage, for 10 years (2003-2013). Field began his career in broadcasting at WJBK-TV (FOX) in Detroit, Michigan, where he worked as a producer and reporter. From there, he went to work for WSYM-TV (FOX) in Lansing, Michigan as a sports director.

When coming to Field’s education, he is a graduate of Michigan State University. He attended the university in 1995 and graduated 4 years after with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism. Field holds a variety of awards which he has won for his work. He holds 7 Michigan Emmy Awards, including “Best Sports Anchor” in the years 2012 and 2009. In the year 2006, Field was awarded a Michigan Emmy Award in the Sports News Feature category. This was for his work following the collapse of Jiri Fischer (Detroit Red Wings defenseman), stricken with a heart ailment, in the middle of a game. He was once on an episode of “The Price is Right.” Field happily lives in Manhattan, New York.
