Campbell serves at WENY as a Sports Director, a role he has held since June 2021. He began as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at the station. While in college, he worked for WVYC, the college’s radio station. There he served as a Sports Director on WVYC’s Executive Board for 3 years. Also, he served as a Program Director. In his senior year, he worked as a General Manager. Additionally, Campbell called play-by-play for York College baseball and basketball at WVYC, as well as served as a host of a weekly sports talk show all 4 years.
Before joining WENY-TV, he worked as an intern at The Home Page Network in Wellsboro. His roles there were Play-by-Play Broadcaster, Correspondent, and Sports Anchor. Also, he served at a local TV affiliate as a sports intern. Interning at both stations gave Campbell the hands-on and on-air experience to prepare him to become a successful Sports Broadcaster.
When coming to Campbell’s education, he is a grad of York College of Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications, and minors in Speech Communications and Marketing (2015-2019). He is also a 2015 graduate of Mansfield Jr./Sr. High School.
Campbell is a volunteer in the community. He has served as a Fundraising Volunteer at Tioga County YMCA. There he was responsible for organizing a father-son golf tournament that resulted in 1000 dollars in donations. During his leisure, he likes rooting for the Pirates and the Steelers (his fav – diehard teams), golfing, and hanging out with his loved ones (friends and family).
