Stiehl serves at WENY as a news director and evening news anchor. She anchors the 5:30 PM and 6 PM newscasts. She has held the news director role since December 2013, and news anchor since 2008. Stiehl has also been serving as an Executive Producer/Host for Twin Tiers Sunday since January 2011. Stiehl is passionate about local news. What Stiehl enjoys most about local news is being able to share what is happening in the communities of the Twin Tiers with the individuals who reside there.
She began as a producer at the station, then promoted to executive producer. He then transitioned to Assistant News Director/Anchor in May 2007. Stiehl worked as an intern at WENY-TV before she was now got hired. As an intern, she got valuable hands-on experience in news writing and reporting. Over the years with WENY, she has also been particating in a number of charity organizations, such as the local chapter of the American Red Cross. There she has helped in raising funds for the March of Dimes, the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
At CMN, she raised money that was used to purchase life-saving equipment for babies. Also, Stiehl told stories of families whose kids spent time in the neonatal ICU at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. The New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association has honored Stiehl for her work. During her leisure, she likes to explore the Finger Lakes wine region and reading.
