Perez is an anchor for WPLG Local 10 News. She joined the station as a morning traffic reporter. Her traffic reporting and her field reporting eventually led her to an evening anchor position, and now to the primary co-anchor of Local 10 News at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m.
Before joining WPLG she worked at WSVN-TV as a producer. She also served at the Miami Heat’s television network, Heat TV as a graphic designer. While working at WPLG as a reporter, Nicole traveled to Normandy, France to cover the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, as well as Rome, Italy covering Holy Week, and to Paris, France to cover the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral.
She also covered Hurricane Irma in 2017 and traveled to Puerto Rico to report on the damage left behind after Hurricane Maria. Afterward, Perez found a special connection to the WWII veterans in their community and proudly told their stories. During her free time, she enjoys running and being at the gym. She has run five half-marathons in various U.S. cities and won first place in an NPC women’s figure competition.
