She had previously spent 7 months working at KVOA-TV based in Tucson, Arizona where she served as a general assignment reporter and weekend assignment editor. From May 1999 to August 1999, she worked and interned for 48 Hours based in New York. In 1996, she joined The University of Arizona where she attained her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 2000.
