Dhaliwal began her career in journalism at WETM- TV in Elmira, New York, where he served as a producer, reporter, and anchor. She extensively reported on the Binghamton American Civic Association massacre in the year 2009.
Dhaliwal has always been passionate about journalism since she was young. She always aspired to be a journalist, therefore, this is her dream come true. She stopped pursuing her initial career which was speech pathology to pursue journalism.
Dhaliwal has worked for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, where she served as a storm chaser and field reporter. She covered several deadly tornado outbreaks. It was at KOCO that her love for breaking news and weather was solidified. One of the memorable moments in her career was when she worked 19 successive days following the devastating El Reno and Moore tornadoes, in May 2013. Also, she told stories of heartbreak, resilience, and survival.
Naveen holds a New York Emmy® Award for covering a massive blackout that affected 72,000 residents of Manhattan. Dhaliwal is a licensed speech pathologist and she fluently speaks Punjabi.
