In addition to these roles, she is also serving as a keynote speaker of The Rest of Your Life in Five Easy Lessons. She kickstarted her journalism career working at KMVT-TV in Twin Falls, Idaho where she served as the evening news anchor and general assignment reporter as well as prducer from September 1983 to August 1987.
Since she started her journalism career, she has won several awards and honor including three Emmy Awards. Moreover, she was tagged Best Television Anchor by the North Dakota Broadcasters three times. In addiiton to her roles at KFYR-TV, she is also a book author of “Gift of Death – A Message of Comfort and Hope”; The Dream Maker – A Biography which was released in January 2016.
She is also very active in her communityand has been volunteering at Tepeyac Leadership, Inc as TLI National Board of Directors. Previously, from January 2010 to January 2015 she volunteered at NATAS Upper Midwest Chapter. She also volunteered as a board member at The GOD’S CHILD Project from January 2005 to January 2010 where she helped in raising funds for the private charity hence encouraging to get an education. She was also a board member of the Catholic Charities North Dakota from January 2005 to January 2009.
