Mike Roden is an American Radio broadcaster/Director working with the Newschannel 10(KFDA-TV) team where he serves the station as a Director. He kick-started his career working in radio as a weekend DJ for the KBGH-AM team located in Memphis which was during his high school.

Roden works with KGDA-TV where he serves the station as a Director. After his graduation in the year 1979, he went to work for a couple of months at the KCTX-AM station located in Childress. The year 1981 saw him return to work for the KSLR-FM team located in Memphis. He then later became the station’s General Manager for a couple of years.
This was during the time when he found his real passion in radio and high school sports. His first job was working as a play-by-play announcer for the Memphis Cyclones in football ad basketball. The year 1986 saw him make a move to KGNC to work as a weekend DJ at KGNC which was before the Talk Radio days. He also became a Sports Director in the year 1989.
It was at this same year that he also began doing color commentary and eventually began play-by-play for local high school football, volleyball, and basketball teams on the Amarillo Sports Network. This is now known as the Texas Panhandle Sports Network(TPSN).
He took over as Director of TPSN in 2007. TPSN merged operations into the Newschannel 10 family in July of 2021. Roden is a proud member of Coulter Road Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and teacher of the New Directions class.
