He joined the 7 News team in 1997. Additionally, he has served the station for more than 2 and a half decades. Prior to Miami, he served in Cleveland, Ohio as a sports and news anchor and reporter.
Further, he has reported both local and national stories. During his career, he provided coverage for big stories. For instance, the World Series, Super Bowl, the 1996 Olympic Park bombing, and Major League Baseball’s All-Star game for CNN and FOX news. His work has attained him the city of Cleveland’s award for excellence in journalism and the Ohio Associated Press Sports reporting award.
Not only does he love reporting sports, but he also serves as an accomplished athlete. In addition to that, he serves as a member of both the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Federation and of the U.S. Weightlifting Federation. To boot, he serves as a member of the 1995 4-man national bobsledding champions. Also, he obtained second place in the 1994 Ohio Olympic Weightlifting competition.
In both 2009 and 2010, he attained a gold medal in Olympic Weightlifting throughout the Annual Sunshine State Games in Lakeland. Furthermore, in 2014, he served as a bronze medal winner at the U.S. National Masters Olympic Weightlifting Championships and the 2014 Team USA representative at the Masters’ World Championships for Olympic Weightlifting in Denmark.
Withal, in 2017 he attained the American Open One Arnold Classic Master Class Gold. In 2018, he gained the American Open 3 Masters Gold in Las Vegas. Further, he serves as a U.S. National Masters Olympics Weightlifting Record Holder in the 89kg class. Currently, he serves on the U.S. Powerlifting Team. In 2019, he attained a Team USA Bronze Medal during the Pan American Championships Olympic Weightlifting. Aside from bobsledding and weightlifting championships, he loves rollerblading and ice hockey.
