Her love and passion for weather began at a very young age, seven years old. This was after seeing a waterspout in Gulf Shores, Alabama on a family vacation. She was charmed by the beauty and power of that storm. She was as well enchanted. Since then she would out on her deck watching the volatility of Mother Nature when there are storms. She discovered what she wanted to become when she grew up, and that was a meteorologist.
She began her career job in January 2007 working for KOMU-TV 8 in Columbia, Missouri. While there she worked her way up through the rank from fill-in weathercaster to Evening Meteorologist a position she held till leaving the station. During her working time there, she received the Best Weathercast award in 2010 and 2012 from the Missouri Broadcasters Association. In addition to that, she earned Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal from the American Meteorological Society in March of 2014.
During her leisure time, she likes volunteering in the community and going to sporting events/concerts with her husband. In addition to that, she loves running around town with great Pyrenees Frank the Tank and Doberman Dakota.
